With over 30 years of experience in criminal and civil investigations, working for UK
statutory law enforcement agencies, LBA International Consultancy Limited offers
specialist knowledge and key skills in dealing with the issues of Copyright, Trade
Mark, Anti Piracy, Fraud and Security. Currently working with industry leaders LBA
International Consultancy Limited was formed to assist its Clients in their fight
against these crimes.
With offices based in the UK and Middle East, our personnel have international experience
and have worked throughout Africa, Europe, The Middle East and North America personally or by managing external resources on behalf of Clients.


Director's Profiles

Laurence Brown, Director
Laurence Brown spent 15 years between 1973 and 1987 in UK Law Enforcement
(Trading Standards) investigating issues relating to Copyright and Trade Mark
infringements and commerce in general. In 1987 Laurence joined the UK Video
Industry holding a pivotal role in bringing about changes in legislation. In January
1993 Laurence moved from the Video Industry to the Computer Games Industry
when he joined Sega Europe Limited as Chief Investigating Officer. In November
1995 Laurence left Sega and formed LBA Consultancy working as an independent
investigating consultant with a number of International Corporations conducting
investigations, and operational management of campaigns against piracy
throughout Europe and the Middle East.



Stephen Pearson, Director

Stephen Pearson is one of the founder directors of LBA International Consultancy Ltd, and has worked with Laurence on various projects. Stephen now lives in Beirut running our Middle East office. He first met Laurence when he became an investigating officer in the UK Trading Standards Service where Stephen has served for 23 years, investigating infringements of consumer related legislation including the Copyright, Trademark and Trade Descriptions Act, working for London based authorities and County Councils. Stephen has also worked with
Laurence in the Video Industry and joined him at ArmorGroup where he conducted
international investigations in Europe and North America.

Stephen spent nearly 18 month in Lebanon from April 2006 to August 2007 working as the UK & EU Consumer Protection twinning advisor to the Lebanese Government His role carried both a diplomatic and technical role in the twinning of the UK with the Lebanon via the auspices of a major European Delegation project. Stephen managed the project on the ground in Beirut and employed staff to assist him in the operation and management of Ministry staff and UK consultants.

Stephen worked along side the Lebanese Consumer Protection staff within the Ministry of Economy & Trade where the Consumer Protection Directorate under the Director General was located. He has established many links within the Ministry and the wider Middle East community.
